Oh it is so easy…. Sleazy MLM statement.
OK let’s be real, nothing in life worth doing, or having is ever easy, well not to begin with anyway, we have to put in time and effort to make things work our way right?
If someone invites you to their Direct Selling company and says oh it is so easy blah blah blah really do your research first.
MLM is a great business model and a lot of the hard work has been taken care of for you, things such as the actual products (science, ergonomics, testing), packaging, training, websites, documents etc. And yes you can make it as easy as you like however…. Please don’t expect 100% results if you are only able to provide 10% effort. This is so important.
I have met a few people along my way who think that if they create a Facebook business page, and then upload the stock content created by their company of choice that they will inundated with customers, orders and queries. I am truly sorry to say that it is not that easy, as much as I would obviously love it to be. Truth be told if you want to succeed then you have to do your own market research, create your own content, know your product inside out, know your competitors products, know your target audience. Learn social media, Learn how to copywrite, Learn how to create photos and videos.
Now if you have chosen a product and company that you feel passionately about, then all these things you will naturally want to do and be enthusiastic about doing them. If doing the work doesn’t seem like a chore then this is how you know you are on the right track.
If you have choose a product and company for the wrong reasons such as just joined to help your friend (upline) out, or you joined cos you thought it would require minimal effort, then doing all the things that you need to do to make it a success will be hard work for you. You will loathe it and ultimately quit with it leaving a sour taste in your mouth. It may even turn you off Direct selling for life. What a shame.
A professional Direct Seller will only encourage you to join if they think you will actually benefit from it. Let’s face it when I have someone join my team, I spend time training them, on the product, how to share it with people, how to navigate the back office, how to create content. The time it takes me to train them takes me away from my own business, so I don’t want to waste my time or theirs if they are just not that into it. It makes no sense. When someone joins me who wants to do all the things for the right reasons then the process is enjoyable and fun.
Don’t join a Make-Up company if you don’t ever wear Make-Up or you find it uncomfortable
Don’t join a cleaning company if the thought of dusting makes you wanna stick pins in your eyes
Don’t join a nutrition company if you don’t enjoy feeling healthy.
You get the point right?
Join a company that makes you tick, see if their mission statement resonates with you, cos it’s not all about the products, you have to feel comfortable with the people who are gonna train and advise you.
One last point…. Your Success is up to you!
You might have ticked all the above boxes, but ultimately your success is in your hands. You know all the stuff, you have the enthusiasm, and unless you put it all into practice it just won’t work.
Your successes and your failures will not be down to the company, or your upline, but they will be down to you. At the end of the day you have the choice as to which selling style you choose, which platforms to use, how much training you undertake. (I advise you to also do some independent training too).
As I said before MLM is one of the best business models in my humble opinion as it can give you the flexibility you need in your life, make it work for you!
Toothpaste can treat my pimples?
This myth has some basis of truth in it however in general actually is a myth.
Toothpaste has some ingredients that will dry the pimple out however it will dry the top layer of skin causing the excess sebum to be trapped underneath, in effect actually prolonging the life of the pimple.
If you are like me you will find the temptation to squeeze a pimple too much, if you absolutely have to squeeze then make sure your face is clean and use cotton buds to gently apply pressure to the pimple. We need to avoid micro tears so don’t use any sharp object, and don’t agitate the area roughly.
By squeezing a pimple with our fingernails we can add bacteria into the pimple causing infections and making the problem worse.
The best thing to do it leave it and let your body work it out
Use a regular skin care system, at the very least a cleanser and moisturiser, designed for your particular skin type.
Some of you already know that I am a mum to several children and adults with Autism, and Intellectual difficulties.
But what does this look like?
People say to me oh gosh you are so selfless doing that....but am I really?
Is it selfless of me to spend time with awesome people, who make me laugh and surprise me every day?
Is it selfless of me to get the opportunity to learn and grow every day from the people in my care?
I don't think so.
I think there is a mutual 50/50 relationship happening here.
What it does mean is that I never know what to expect from one to day the next. Just when I think I have worked out the solution to a challenge, another one will pop up.
But isn't that what makes up this thing called Life?
Caring for these amazing people has given me the opportunity to pivot and travel a different path work wise. I need to work from home so that I am available, which meant that I gave up my 9-5 job (thank goodness it was killing me)
So you will see me talk about Autism and intellectual disabilities, you will see me sharing stories so you can see what it sometimes looks like.
This Year I am fortunate enough to be partnering with Bunnings and Share the Dignity to help with their November Drive.
The ‘It’s in the Bag’ Drive is when we create and distribute handbags filled with sanitary items such as Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash/Soap, Tampons, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, etc to people experiencing poverty and fleeing domestic abuse.
How can you help?
You can create your own bag. We encourage you to write a little note of love and support for the person receiving the bag as they are having a tough time, and also a little something extra to make them feel good such as a Lip Gloss, or hair tie. You can also pop in a pen and journal.
Each bag donated will be checked to make sure it is suitable to be received by someone in need.
Please note we cannot accept food items, razors, or any sharp items.
Your local Bunnings will have a collection point in their front entry, for you to pop in your donated handbag. I will be looking after the Joondalup Bunnings store.
Alternatively you can drop your bag to me
There are a few different types of bags that you can create.

Have you ever been told that if you join someone's MLM team that you will earn $2000 a week or something similar?.... Yuk right.
Part of the old MLM culture was sleazy statements like this to hook people in. Thank goodness that is not how we do it now, however there are still a few old skool people floating around.... stay away from those ones.
I am one of the new culture that will tell you all the pro's and cons, and keep it real
The truth is that if you wanna earn that kind of money you have to put in full time hours.... more then full time hours. Forget the 9-5 grind, it is more like 24/7 ha ha.
Don't trust anyone who says they guarantee you will earn a certain dollar figure amount.
Simply put, you get out what you put in.
So Yes you can earn money.... you can earn a lot of money with direct selling. But it is not easy.
That is why you need to choose a company that you feel passionately about and that resonates with you, because you will consume all their content, live and breathe their culture. But you will enjoy doing if you choose the company that's right for you.
MLM does work for a lot of people, and for some people it just isn't right, so it's not for everyone.
It is right for me, and it has given me the platform to stay at home and raise my kids whilst earning money.
Cucumbers Eliminate Bags Under Your Eyes - Kinda
Actually it is the coolness of the cucumber that helps with puffiness. This means that any cool compress will help with your eye area.
The water content in the cucumber will help with moisturising to a degree however you are better off using a product that is designed to hydrate your eye area specifically.
The Folic Acid and Vitamin C in Cucumbers are both beneficial for your skin with helping to stimulate new cells, and anti-oxidants. I will say tho…. that there is not enough in a slice of cucumber (concentration wise) to actually help too much. Therefore look for a good quality product with Vitamin C and Folic Acid especially for the eye as the solution.
